Redaction is a special kind of editing that obscures sensitive information but leaves everything else intact.

It owes its growth in recent years to the rise in Access Requests under FOIA (Freedom of Information Act), GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and other legislative articles.

Done manually or digitally, a professionally redacted document complies with legislation whilst preserving the commercial or private integrity which inadvertent disclosure would irrevocably compromise.
